Shiriyah

Creativity transforms our campus during Shiriyah, our joyous school-wide competition and celebration in which every student is given the opportunity to shine.

Our hallways overflow with energy as students pause their regular studies to participate in more than 40 unique challenges, contests, and creative projects in every area, allowing every student to lead through his or her unique talents. Students come together as a community for school-wide spirit rallies and events, and gather in small groups that span all grade levels to plan, study, and rehearse. NSHAHS’ doors stay open into the evening for students interested in gaining a competitive edge against their classmates as they plan and build STEM projects, brush up on Torah trivia, and complete expansive, multimedia art projects.

Shiriyah culminates in a school-wide dinner with meaningful performances, awards, singing, and simcha dancing. Students feel united and filled with ruach – for their school, for their Jewish identity, for themselves, and for each other.
