Admissions FAQ

When is the deadline to apply?

November 26, 2024

How do I access the application?

There are two parts to the application.

Step 1: Complete Part 1 of the application, which requests information about your household and the student enrolling. By completing Part 1, you will create a user account to sign in to our Admissions Portal.

Step 2: When you have completed Part 1, you will receive an email with the subject, “Your North Shore Hebrew Academy High School Admissions Portal Login.” Click on the link that says, “Set your password.”

Log in to the Admissions Portal and complete Part 2 of the application, which requests more information about the student, the parents, demographics, and a photo of the student. You will also be provided information about the application fee and report cards.

Do I need to send report cards or recommendations?

Each applicant is required to upload their full 7th grade report to the online application.  Once their 8th grade report card becomes available, they will be required to submit it.  If you are applying to transfer, please upload a report card for each year of high school completed.

Recommendations are required. If you attend North Shore Hebrew Academy, the Admissions Office will be in touch with administrators at your school. If you do not attend North Shore Hebrew Academy, you will be required to submit one general studies recommendation letter and one Judaic studies recommendation letter. You will be prompted to enter the recommender’s name and email address in the Admissions Portal.

What is the application fee?

The application fee is $125. Please pay online with a credit card through the Admissions Portal.

How do I apply for financial aid?

You can download the financial aid application from the Admissions Portal.  All financial aid applications are due to the Business Office by mail.  Emailed applications will not be accepted.  The financial aid deadline is Wednesday, December 11, 2024.  Your financial aid application is reviewed by a separate committee.  Financial aid status has no bearing on admission decisions.
